Hands-On Floral Workshop
Includes Florals, Beautiful Vase, Hors d’Oeuvres, Bubbly Floral Mocktail
Required: Your Own Garden Clippers
Capacity: 12 Participants
Join Melissa Paquin, owner and lead designer of Renegade Floral, for a summer centerpiece workshop at Shelby House. After an afternoon with Melissa, while enjoying flower-inspired treats from Drift & Porter, and bubbly floral mocktails, you’ll take home a gorgeous centerpiece in a beautiful vase provided by Renegade, as well as the confidence to create inspired designs from your local farmer or store-bought flowers.
This hands-on workshop will focus on elements of floral design from building a color palette to understanding and creating the mechanics and structure of a floral arrangement. The main goal of this workshop is for each attendee to express their creativity through beautiful, seasonal flowers. Each attendee will choose from a large selection of the most premier, seasonal blooms to create a lush, garden-inspired centerpiece. Melissa will talk you through her design methods while creating an arrangement, and then it is your turn to let your creativity shine. Class size is limited to ensure Melissa can offer one-on-one guidance and support throughout the entire design process. No previous floral design experience is needed.
Melissa Paquin’s design philosophy is based on an affinity for color and texture, crafting unique and beautiful designs for every client. Her designs reflect the natural movement and texture of flowers and foliage as they grow in a garden landscape. Like painting, floral design builds on the importance of color, texture, and composition to create beautiful and personalized designs. Melissa pays such attention to these details in her designs, and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge with all of you!
